There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Bursa BSB (5-16) outplayed at home higher ranked Elazig (9-13) 76-56 on Saturday. Bursa BSB made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Bursa BSB outrebounded Elazig 51-35 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Montenegrin forward Milka Bjelica (193-81) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Gulgun Bulut (-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Bursa BSB players scored in double figures. Bursa BSB's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: Indiana NW) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and Ozge Karatas (-96) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Elazig. Bursa BSB maintains eleventh place in Group B with 5-16 record. Newly promoted Elazig keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Bursa BSB will face higher ranked Nevsehir GHSIM (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
