Second Stage Round 12: Suzirja - Interkhim 43-87

National League top team - Interkhim (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Suzirja (2-9) in Rivne 87-43. The game without a history. Interkhim led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Suzirja to just 6 points in second quarter. Interkhim dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Suzirja's 30. They outrebounded Suzirja 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Olga Borysenko who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and center Kristina Karp (193-98) supported her with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five Interkhim players scored in double figures. Even 5 points and 11 rebounds by Tetiana Gavrylchyk (-0) did not help to save the game for Suzirja. Point guard Natalia Smalyuk (170-97) added 9 points and 5 rebounds. Suzirja's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Interkhim have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Suzirja lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
