No shocking result in a game when second ranked Balkan (17-6) crushed bottom-ranked Chernomorets (2-21) in Burgas 90-62. The game was mostly controlled by Balkan. Chernomorets was better in fourth quarter 29-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Balkan dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 28. It was a great evening for Serbian power forward Dusan Cvetkovic (205-89, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian power forward Marko Brkic (206-82, agency: Beo Basket) helped adding 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Balkan players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Erik Dimitrov (198-95) scored 18 points. Balkan maintains second place with 17-6 record having four points less than leader Lukoil Acad., which they share with Beroe. Chernomorets lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Balkan will play against Cherno More (#6) in Varna in the next round. Chernomorets will play on the road against Yambol (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
