Also Cankaya (#4) was upset in Izmir by eighth ranked Urla BLD 78-68. Urla BLD forced 19 Cankaya turnovers and had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Molly Schlemer (196-92, college: Cal Poly - SLO) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. The former international forward Didem Suer (188-77) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of her nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Four Urla BLD players scored in double figures. Hande Celebi (-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Serife Onar (167-96) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Cankaya. Urla BLD (9-13) moved-up to seventh place in Group B. Cankaya lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost.
