Second Stage Round 12: Politekhnika - HAI 36-107

National League top team - HAI (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Politekhnika (2-6) in Lviv 107-36. The game without a history. HAI led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Politekhnika to just 4 points in third quarter. HAI dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Politekhnika's 26. HAI forced 44 Politekhnika turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Politekhnika's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Nataliya Pokrovenko (173-93) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and point guard Alina Lakh (164-98) who added 12 points, 11 assists and 10 steals during the contest. Five HAI players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Viktoriya Babych (183-99) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Valentina Smyetrova (166-96) scored 10 points and 4 assists. HAI have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Newly promoted HAI maintains first position with 10-0 record. Politekhnika at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. HAI will play against ONMU-Vimar (#6) in Odessa in the next round where they are favorite. Politekhnika will have a break next round.
