Second Stage Round 12: Blyskavky - Interkhim 73-76

The most exciting game of round 12 in the National League took place in Vinnytsia. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd ranked Blyskavky (8-3) to first ranked Interkhim (11-1) 76-73 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Blyskavky. They outrebounded Blyskavky 42-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for Arina Bilotserkivska (-89) who led her team to a victory with 24 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. International forward Kateryna Kovalyova (185-89) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Iryna Zhmurko (181-96) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and center Oksana Stepanyuk (190-95) added 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Blyskavky. Four Blyskavky players scored in double figures. Interkhim have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Blyskavky at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Frankivsk. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
