The most exciting game of round 8 in the Proliga took place in Lisboa. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Benfica B (6-7) to eighth ranked Angrabasket (4-10) 77-76 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 24-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Jarvis Davis (183, college: Gardner-Webb) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Russian forward Alexander Kravtsov (194-87) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Sergio Silva (193-96) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Slovenian guard Aljaz Slutej (188-96) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Benfica B. Benfica B's coach Joao Tavares tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Angrabasket moved-up to sixth place in Places 1-8, which they share with Sangalhos and Vasco. Benfica B at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Dragon Force. Angrabasket is looking forward to face higher ranked Atletico (#3) in Lisboa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Benfica B will play at home against the league's second-placed Terceira and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
