The game in Istanbul was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Banvit BK (14-9) played at the court of fifth ranked Darussafaka (14-8). Darussafaka managed to secure a 9-point victory 75-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Banvit BK. Darussafaka made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-92, college: Florida) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) accounted for 11 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Darussafaka's coach Oktay Mahmudi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Dominique Johnson (194-87, college: Azusa Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) came up with 24 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and French Adrien Moerman (202-88) added 18 points respectively for Banvit BK in the defeat. Darussafaka moved-up to fourth place. Banvit BK at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Darussafaka will play against Demir IBB (#9) in Buyukcekmece in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Banvit BK will play at home against Konyaspor (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
