Regular Season Round 32: Klosterneuburg - Oberwart 73-63

The most important game in the last round took place in Klosterneuburg between second ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (19-13) and fifth ranked Dukes (16-16) on Monday night. Redwell Gunners Oberwart was defeated by Dukes on the road 73-63. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-63. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Malik Cooke (201-89, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Four Dukes players scored in double figures. Dukes' coach Werner Sallomon used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Chris McNealy (194-92, college: Cal-Irvine) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and guard Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Dukes have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 16-16 record. Redwell Gunners Oberwart at the other side keeps the second place with 13 games lost. Dukes are looking forward to face Gmunden Swans (#9) in Gmunden in the next round. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play at home against Raiffeisen Wels (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
