Second Stage Round 13: Interkhim - Dynamo-NPU 78-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with their biggest opponent Dynamo-NPU's (9-4) road loss to first ranked Interkhim (12-1) 68-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Interkhim. Dynamo-NPU was better in fourth quarter 27-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Interkhim forced 26 Dynamo-NPU turnovers and outrebounded them 40-23 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Guard Natalia Kolotovska (174-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners and international forward Kateryna Kovalyova (185-89) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Interkhim players scored in double figures. Interkhim's coach Iryna Shchipakina used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Viktoriya Kondus (170-97) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Iryna Tsekova (177-78) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Interkhim have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-1 record. Defending champion Dynamo-NPU dropped to the third position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
