Second Stage Round 13: Tavriyska Zivka - Blyskavky 57-84

Everything went according to plan in Kherson where third ranked Blyskavky (10-3) outscored 7th ranked Tavriyska Zivka (1-11) 84-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Blyskavky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Tavriyska Zivka's 20. Blyskavky forced 29 Tavriyska Zivka turnovers. Strangely Tavriyska Zivka outrebounded Blyskavky 49-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Oksana Stepanyuk (190-95) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and guard Anna Galitska (170-87) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Blyskavky players scored in double figures. At the losing side Margarita Glebova responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Svetlana Maliar (180-88) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Blyskavky moved-up to second place. Tavriyska Zivka lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
