Regular Season Round 24: Beroe - Spartak Pleven 90-68
Date: April 3, 2016
Rather expected game in Stara Zagora where 5th ranked Spartak Pleven (11-13) was crushed by third ranked Beroe (18-6) 90-68. The game without a history. Beroe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 30. Gary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds by power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-90) did not help to save the game for Spartak Pleven. The former international guard Aleksandar Gruev (187-83) added 15 points and 4 assists. Five Beroe and four Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. Beroe have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Balkan. Spartak Pleven at the other side keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cherno More. Beroe will play against Levski 2014 (#7) in Sofia in the next round where they are favorite.
