Kirov topped Elbrus to sweep the quarterfinal series. Kirov dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Elbrus Cherk.'s 30. They outrebounded Elbrus Cherk. 56-30 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kirov looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Aleksei Yatsentiuk notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 22 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Pavel Moshkovskiy (200-91) supported him with 7 points and 14 rebounds. Kirov's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by swingman Roman Bazhunaishvili (199-90) did not help to save the game for Elbrus Cherk.. Forward Dmitriy Ronskiy (196-94) added 18 points and 7 rebounds for the guests.
