Very expected game in Stara Zagora where 7th ranked Levski 2014 (10-15) was defeated by third ranked Beroe (19-6) 82-71. It looked good early as Levski 2014 took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Beroe had a 18-13 second period charge getting the lead and Levski 2014 was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-82. Levski 2014 was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Bosnian power forward Aleksandar Todorovic (206-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Plamen Aleksiev (180-87) contributed with 14 points, 8 assists and 5 steals (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. The former international forward Stanislav Slaveykov (198-86) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Aleks Simeonov (200-93) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Levski 2014. Levski 2014's coach Nikolay Gospodinov rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Beroe have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Balkan. Levski 2014 at the other side keeps the seventh position with 15 games lost. Beroe will play against Academik Plovdiv (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Levski 2014 will play against the league's second-placed Balkan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
