The game in Sangalhos was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Dragon Force (7-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Sangalhos (4-12). Dragon Force managed to secure a 6-point victory 68-62 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 37-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Dragon Force forced 21 Sangalhos turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Point guard Pedro Oliveira (179-97) scored 11 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Brazilian Joao Gallina (192-94) chipped in 9 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side forward Luis Fonte (191-79) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Andre Duarte (178-81) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Dragon Force maintains fifth position with 7-8 record. Sangalhos lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Angra. Dragon Force will meet Angrabasket (#8) on the road in the next round. Sangalhos will play against the league's second-placed Terceira in Angra Heroismo and hope to secure a win.
