Regular Season Round 31: Tofas - Balikesir 90-83

Leader Tofas delivered the twenty eighth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Balikesir (18-13) 90-83 in Bursa. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Balikesir. Tofas players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Baris Ermis (194-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. American power forward Jarvis Williams (203-93, college: Murray St.) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. American forward Mike Davis (205-88, college: Illinois) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) added 18 points, 13 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Balikesir. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tofas maintains first place with 28-3 record. Balikesir at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Tofas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bursa to the arena Final Genclik.
