Regular Season Round 26: Turk Telekom - TED Kolejliler 76-72

There was a minor upset when 13th ranked TED Kolejliler (8-18) lost to sixteenth ranked Turk Telekom (6-20) in Ankara 72-76 on Saturday. TED Kolejliler was trailing by 13 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of Turk Telekom, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. TED Kolejliler was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Manny Harris (196-89, college: Michigan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import power forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) replied with 19 points and 6 assists and Georgian forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TED Kolejliler. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Konyaspor. TED Kolejliler lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Turk Telekom will face higher ranked Darussafaka (#4) in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
