Regular Season Round 21: Parklji - Hrastnik 102-68

Ninth ranked Parklji (10-11) crushed at home 11th ranked Hrastnik (4-17) by 34 points 102-68, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game without a history. Parklji led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hrastnik's 20. Parklji forced 21 Hrastnik turnovers and outrebounded them 50-20 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Matic Urbas (192-93) stepped up and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and point guard Nejc Kobal (186-91) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Parklji players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Gasper Ovnik (190-82) with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Anej Nucic (197-95) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Parklji moved-up to seventh place. Hrastnik lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Parklji will face higher ranked Grosuplje (#5) in Grosuplje in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hrastnik will play at home against Celje (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
