Second Stage Round 15: Politekhnika - ONMU-Vimar 79-53

An interesting game was played in Lviv where host Politekhnika (#8) rolled over 4th placed ONMU-Vimar with 26-point difference 79-53 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Politekhnika led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Politekhnika outrebounded ONMU-Vimar 52-35 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by ONMU-Vimar's players. It was a great evening for power forward Viktoriya Babych (183-99) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 20 rebounds. Point guard Irina Maksimenko (168-97) helped adding 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was center Anastasia Usova (185-90) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Anna Podolyaka (183-94) scored 11 points. Politekhnika maintains eighth place with 3-10 record. Loser ONMU-Vimar keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Politekhnika will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. ONMU-Vimar will play against Poltavshina (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
