Sakhalin fired past Samara-SGEU for 1-0 lead in the series. Sakhalin made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game, while Samara-SGEU only scored ten points from the stripe. Samara-SGEU was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. International Aleksandr Gudumak (203-93, agency: Alti Sport) stepped up and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Artem Komolov (194-93) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Four Sakhalin players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ukrainian center Ievgen Minchenko (212-94) responded with 13 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and point guard Alexandr Varnakov (185-92) scored 4 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
