Regular Season Round 36: Kapfenberg - Oberwart 83-76

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (21-11) on the court of seventh ranked Kapfenberg Bulls on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Kapfenberg Bulls 83-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Redwell Gunners Oberwart. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-76. Kapfenberg Bulls made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. International Filip Kramer (202-92) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach Michael Schrittwieser used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) replied with 22 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Chris Ferguson (206-89, college: Mid-Continent, agency: HMS) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Redwell Gunners Oberwart. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls (15-17) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position. Redwell Gunners Oberwart at the other side still keeps top place with 11 games lost.
