Another exciting game for Arkadia Lions (18-14) which played in Wien against one of their biggest challengers Vienna (17-15). Fifth ranked Arkadia Lions won 86-80. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It looked good early as Vienna took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Arkadia Lions had a 17-15 second period charge getting the lead and Vienna was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-86. Arkadia Lions shot 62.3 percent from the field. They outrebounded Vienna 25-13 including a 21-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Arkadia Lions especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest.
