Regular Season Round 32: Gediz - Acibadem 83-75

The most important game in the last round took place in Gediz between second ranked Acibadem (23-9) and fifth ranked Gediz (21-11) on Friday night. Acibadem was defeated by Gediz in a tough game on the road 75-83. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 39-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gediz made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. American point guard Demontez Stitt (187-89, college: Clemson, agency: HMS) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Guard Recep Dogrusoz (192-86) replied with 21 points and 5 assists and the former international guard Kerem Tunceri (191-79) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Acibadem. Five Gediz and four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Gediz moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Acibadem dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Gediz are looking forward to face Eskisehir Basket (#15) in Edirne in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Acibadem will play at home against Sakarya BSB (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
