Second Stage Round 16: SDYUSHOR-4 - Poltavshina 66-88

The most important game in the last round took place in Mykolaiv between second ranked SDYUSHOR-4 (8-6) and fifth ranked Poltavshina (6-11) on Friday night. SDYUSHOR-4 was crushed by Poltavshina at home 66-88. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SDYUSHOR-4. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 55-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Poltavshina forced 24 SDYUSHOR-4 turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Valeriya Desyatnyk who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Khrystyna Yarych (-0) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Poltavshina players scored in double figures. Guard Nika Korinna (170-96) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and forward Anna Chechetkina (180-95) added 13 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for SDYUSHOR-4. Poltavshina maintains fifth position with 6-11 record. SDYUSHOR-4 at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Chaika and Frankivsk. Poltavshina will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SDYUSHOR-4 will play at home against SDYUSHOR-5 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
