Regular Season Round 27: Fener.Ulker - Anadolu Efes 73-69

Date: April 24, 2016
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Anadolu Efes (21-6) in Istanbul on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (20-6) 73-69. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Anadolu Efes trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 18-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-73 at the end of the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Anadolu Efes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for international point guard Bobby Dixon (178-83, college: Troy, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-92) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Croatian Dario Saric (207-94, agency: Beo Basket) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Derrick Brown (202-87, college: Xavier) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Five Fenerbahce Ulker and four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Anadolu Efes' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fenerbahce Ulker have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 20-6 record behind leader Anadolu Efes. Anadolu Efes at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Fenerbahce Ulker are looking forward to face Royal Hali (#8) in Gaziantep in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Anadolu Efes will play at home against Usak Sportlif (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
