Quarter-Finals Round 1: Alba - Kaposvari 98-95

Alba outlasted Kaposvari for 1-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-19. But Kaposvari won third quarter 26-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alba made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 steals. The former international Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Alba's coach Branislav Dzunic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international power forward Roland Hendlein (206-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and Bosnian center Ermin Jazvin (209-80, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kaposvari. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
