Quarter-Finals Round 1: Kormend - ZTE KK 88-78

Kormend overcame ZTE KK for the opening victory in the quarterfinal series. The hosts were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 31-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Cole Dickerson (201-91, college: USF) fired 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian power forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
