Regular Season Round 30: Anadolu Efes - Darussafaka 90-71

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Anadolu Efes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Anadolu Efes smashed 4th ranked Darussafaka in Istanbul 90-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Darussafaka. The game was mostly controlled by Anadolu Efes. Darussafaka managed to win third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Anadolu Efes dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Darussafaka's 30. Uruguayan-Italian point guard Jayson Granger (188-89) scored 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Cedi Osman (204-95) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Granger is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Ender Arslan (190-83) with 14 points and the former international swingman Emir Preldzic (206-87, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Fener.Ulker. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost.
