Second Stage Round 4: Konstantin - Mega Leks 75-104

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nis. Second ranked Mega Leks faced one of their biggest challengers Konstantin. Guests from Sremska Mitrovica (3-1) smashed host Konstantin (1-3) 104-75. The game without a history. Mega Leks led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Mega Leks forced 23 Konstantin turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Konstantin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by French swingman Timothe Luwawu (201-95, agency: Beo Basket) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Djordje Simeunovic (200-95, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Mega Leks players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by forward Danilo Tasic (207-93) did not help to save the game for Konstantin. Vladimir Djordjevic (194-90) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mega Leks maintains second position in Group B with 3-1 record behind leader Partizan. Konstantin at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Mega Leks' next round opponent will be league's leader Partizan in Beograd and it will be for sure the game of the week. Konstantin will play on the road against Borac in Cacak and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
