Second Stage Round 4: FMP - Metalac 92-78

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Beograd. Second ranked FMP faced one of their biggest challengers Metalac. Host FMP (3-1) defeated guests from Valjevo (1-3) 92-78. The game without a history. FMP led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Metalac's 38. They outrebounded Metalac 41-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. FMP looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Filip Covic (178-89, agency: Beo Basket) fired 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Stefan Lazarevic (197-96) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five FMP players scored in double figures. Montenegrin Aleksa Popovic (201-87) produced 20 points and international power forward Djordje Majstorovic (211-90) added 14 points respectively for lost side. FMP maintains second position in Group A with 3-1 record behind leader Partizan. Metalac at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. FMP are looking forward to face Tamis (#4) in Pancevo in the next round. Metalac will play at home against the league's leader Crvena Zvezda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
