Regular Season Round 1: CSU Sibiu - Craiova 88-72

CSU Sibiu defeated Craiova at home 88-72. The game was mostly controlled by CSU Sibiu. Craiova managed to win second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Igor Mijajlovic (192-84) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists. American guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Jamar Abrams (201-89, college: E.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Ukrainian forward Yurii Frasenyuk (200-86) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Craiova. Five CSU Sibiu and four Craiova players scored in double figures. Craiova will play next round against Olimpic trying to get back on the winning streak. CSU Sibiu will try to continue on its current victory against Steaua CSM in Bucuresti.
