Oradea defeated Pitesti at home 81-73. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Pitesti won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oradea made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Pitesti turnovers. Serbian-Bulgarian guard Branko Mirkovic (190-82, agency: 011 Sports) notched 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and American guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) supported him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Vincent Hunter (209-84, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Pitesti. DR Congolese-Canadian guard Myck Kabongo (191-93, college: Texas) added 10 points and 7 assists for the guests. Four Oradea and five Pitesti players scored in double figures. Pitesti will play next round against CS Dinamo Bucuresti trying to get back on the winning streak. Oradea will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
