Friendsfactory Germering used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Keltern 76-56 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Friendsfactory Germering. Keltern II was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Friendsfactory Germering dominated on the defensive end, holding Keltern II to just 7 points in third quarter. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. At the losing side American power forward Kiley Shoemaker (187-94, college: Wheaton, MA) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and center Vanessa Seemann (182-88) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Friendsfactory Germering will face Don Bosco Bamberg (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Keltern II will play against Wasserburg II and hope to win that game.
