Quite upsetting was Barmer TV's home defeat in a game versus Osnabruecker 64-50. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Osnabruecker made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. American guard Elizabeth Belanger (178-94, college: New Hampshire) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Canadian guard Amencie Mercier (170-91, college: Northeastern) chipped in 21 points (made all of her seven free throws). Center Leonie Bleker (189-90) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Wiebke Bruns (178-90, college: Houston Baptist) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Osnabruecker will meet at home Osnabruck SC (#4) in the next round. Barmer TV will play against SG BBZ Opladen in Leverkusen and hope to win that game.
