Regular Season Round 3: Siauliai - Zalgiris 45-98

The game in Siauliai supposed to be also quite interesting. Zalgiris (2-1) played at the court of Siauliai (0-2). Zalgiris smashed Siauliai 98-45 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Siauliai to just 4 points in third quarter. Zalgiris dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Siauliai's 18 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Zalgiris forced 22 Siauliai turnovers and had a 27-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Zalgiris' coach Sarunas Jasikevicius felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Ghanian-American Asenso Ampim (203-88, college: Columbia, agency: Octagon Europe) with 6 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Tre Bowman (196-91, college: Iona) scored 13 points. Zalgiris will meet at home Vytautas (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Siauliai will play against P.Zvaigzdes (#8) in Pasvalys and hopes to get finally their first victory.
