The game between Eskisehir Basket (1-0) and Final Genclik (0-1) in Edirne on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Eskisehir Basket beat guests from Bursa 90-74. Eskisehir Basket outrebounded Final Genclik 38-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a very good performance for American swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll.) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Gokhan Yazicioglu (200-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead, agency: HMS) answered with 13 points and 5 assists and center Umut Durmus (204-80) added 12 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Final Genclik. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eskisehir Basket will face Sakarya BSB (#7) in Sakaraya in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Final Genclik will play at home against Yalova Bld and hope to win that game.
