Regular Season Round 2: Krofdorf/Gleib. - Neuss 59-72

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Krofdorf/Gleib. (1-1) in Giessen. Hosts were defeated by TG Neuss (2-0) 72-59. The game was mostly controlled by TG Neuss. Krofdorf/Gleib. was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Marquita Waller (180-88, college: VCU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import guard Dara Taylor (173-91, college: Penn St.) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Roos Hof (183-94) replied with 18 points and American forward Bra'Shey Ali (183-93, college: Thomas Univ.) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Krofdorf/Gleib.Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TG Neuss will play against Baskets Grunberg (#5) in Gruenberg in the next round. Krofdorf/Gleib. will play on the road against Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
