Regular Season Round 2: Dnipro - Bipa Basket 79-49

We should mention about the upset which took place in Dnepropetrovsk, where Bipa Basket (0-2) was outleveled in a road game by Dnipro (1-1) 79-49 on Sunday. Dnipro dominated on the defensive end, holding Bipa Basket to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Bipa Basket's 36. Dnipro forced 20 Bipa Basket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bipa Basket's players. The best player for the winners was international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Pavel Revzin (194-83) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Klym Artamonov (185-93) produced 10 points and 8 assists and American guard Kenney Funderburk (193-92, college: Columbus St., agency: AproK Sports Group) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dnipro will face Kremen in Kremenchuk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bipa Basket will play at home against Mykolaiv (#4) and hope to win that game.
