Regular Season Round 3: Nuernberg - Trier 73-69

Gladiators (2-1) recorded a loss in Nurnberg. Visitors were defeated by Nuernberg (2-1) 73-69. Gladiators were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valparaiso) contributed with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Chilean Sebastian Herrera (193-97) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Ryan Nicholas (201-91, college: Portland) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gladiators. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nuernberg will play against Baunach (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gladiators will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#1) and hope to get back on the winning track.
