Regular Season Round 3: Wuerzburg - Licher Baeren 68-98

An interesting game for Licher Basket (3-0) which played road game in Wuerzburg against Wuerzburg (1-2). Licher Basket had an easy win 98-68. Licher Basket made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Wuerzburg turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard K.K. Simmons (191-93, college: Pikeville) who scored 17 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import power forward Lamar Mallory (198-90, college: Glenville St.) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Mallory is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Licher Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Marcellus Barksdale (196-93, college: IUPUI) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and center Georg Voigtmann (213-94) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Licher Basket's next round opponent will be Fraport Skyliners II (#10) in Frankfurt and are hoping to win another game. Wuerzburg will play on the road against Giants in Noerdlingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
