Regular Season Round 1: Amager - Lemvig 85-79

Amager defeated Lemvig in Kastrup 85-79. Lemvig was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 29-15 charge of Amager, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Emilie Fogelstrom (166-92) contributed with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Amager's coach Sam Tamargo used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Erin McDonnell (185-93, college: Harvard) answered with 27 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and the other American import Sarah DeShone (, college: Ferris St.) added 20 points and 4 assists (made all of her seven free throws) in the effort for Lemvig. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lemvig will play next round against strong Virum trying to get back on the winning streak. Amager will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
