Important game to mention about took place in Germering. Friendsfactory Germering (2-0) saved a 2-point victory at home edging Don Bosco Bamberg (1-2) 65-63 on Sunday evening. Don Bosco Bamberg was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 18-10 third quarter run of Friendsfactory Germering. They also forced 25 Don Bosco Bamberg turnovers. Strangely Don Bosco Bamberg outrebounded Friendsfactory Germering 39-22 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Don Bosco Bamberg was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Nicole Schmidt (168-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points. Leonie Fiebich (189-0) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was Estonia forward Janett Perv (179-91) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Svenja Zeis (176-87) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Friendsfactory Germering will play against BasCats Heidelberg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Don Bosco Bamberg will play against Homburger TG (#2) to get more than just one victory in their record.
