Regular Season Round 1: Stevnsgade - Aabyhoj 83-49

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Aabyhoj (0-1) on the court of Stevnsgade. Visitors were rolled over by Stevnsgade 83-49. The game was mostly controlled by Stevnsgade. Aabyhoj was better in third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aabyhoj to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Stevnsgade forced 19 Aabyhoj turnovers. International guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) stepped up and scored 40 points (!!!) (made all of her twelve free throws !!!) for the winners and international forward Hanna Sheikh (180-92) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American Mariyah Henley responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Bianca Christiansen (178-90) scored 11 points. Stevnsgade will play against Horsholm on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aabyhoj will play against SISU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
