Regular Season Round 3: Stahnsdorf - Wolfenbuettel 77-70

There was a minor upset when Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (1-2) lost to RSV Eintracht (1-2) in Stahnsdorf 70-77 on Sunday. RSV Eintracht outrebounded Herzoege Wolfenbuettel 45-28 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Antoine Myers (190-90, college: Troy) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Joey Ney (198-92) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four RSV Eintracht players scored in double figures. RSV Eintracht's coach Thomas Roijakkers allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) answered with 28 points and the other American import center Khalil Kelley (203-91, college: Pacific) added 19 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Herzoege Wolfenbuettel. RSV Eintracht will face Oldenburg (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
