Another exciting game was played in Ponte de Sor between FC Porto Ferpinta and Electrico FC where FC Porto Ferpinta (1-0) crushed Electrico FC (0-1) on the road with 34-point difference 101-67. The game was mostly controlled by FC Porto Ferpinta. Electrico FC was better in fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. FC Porto Ferpinta shot 61.4 percent from the field. FC Porto Ferpinta shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. FC Porto Ferpinta players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Sasa Borovnjak (206-89, college: Penn St., agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. American guard Bradley Tinsley (191-89, college: Vanderbilt) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four FC Porto Ferpinta players scored in double figures. FC Porto Ferpinta's coach Moncho Lopez felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Joao Torrie (200-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Cape Verdean swingman Mario Neves (190-77) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Electrico FC. FC Porto Ferpinta will play against Benfica at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Electrico FC will play against Ovarense (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.
