No shocking result in a game when Mersin Uni (2-0) beat at home Nevsehir Uni (0-2) 61-56. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Mersin Uni players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Merve Uygul (170-88) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Mersin Uni's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Dilek Ozak (182-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward Eboni Ross (190-93, college: Shaw) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Mersin Uni will play against Urla BLD (#19) in Izmir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nevsehir Uni will play at home against Edirne (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
