Regular Season Round 2: Lemvig - Virum 69-70

A very close game took place in Lemvig between Virum and Lemvig. Virum (1-0) got a very close victory on the road over Lemvig (0-2). Virum managed to escape with a 1-point win 70-69 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-14. But Lemvig won second period 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American center Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Ellen Iversen (180-97) chipped in 24 points. American Sarah DeShone (, college: Ferris St.) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and her fellow American import forward Erin McDonnell (185-93, college: Harvard) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Virum will meet at home Horsholm in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lemvig will play against Stevnsgade (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
