Regular Season Round 3: Duzce Bld. - Mamak DSI 75-70

There was a surprise result when Duzce Belediye (1-2) defeated at home Mamak DSI (1-2) 75-70 on Saturday. Duzce Belediye forced 20 Mamak DSI turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Duzce Belediye's coach Timucin Meric allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American power forward Arnett Moultrie (208-90, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Nezih Ozbakir (206-80) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Duzce Belediye will meet Socar Petkim (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mamak DSI will play against Eskisehir Basket and hope to win that game.
