Regular Season Round 4: Barmer TV - Osnabruck SC 71-80

Date: October 15, 2016
Not a big story in a game in Wuppertal where bottom-ranked Barmer TV (0-4) was defeated by top-ranked Osnabruck SC (4-0) 80-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 43-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Osnabruck SC made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Barmer TV turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard N'Dea Bryant (183-94, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Ramona Tews (172-92) who added 10 points and 5 assists during the contest. Osnabruck SC's coach Mario Zurkowski used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side point guard Franziska Goessmann (170-89) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and center Leonie Bleker (189-90) scored 19 points and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Osnabruck SC have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with Neuss. Loser Barmer TV still closes the standings with four games lost. Osnabruck SC will face Goettingen (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Barmer TV will play against Braunschweig (#12) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
