There was a minor upset when Edremit (1-1) lost to Ormanspor (1-1) in Ankara 70-74. Ormanspor forced 20 Edremit turnovers. Strangely Edremit outrebounded Ormanspor 49-30 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nigeria-American center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tugce Inoentepe (173-87, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Ormanspor players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Nirra Fields (175-93, college: UCLA) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and forward Betul Pehlivan (178-88, agency: LBM Management) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Ormanspor will play against Ferko Ilgaz (#10) in Kastamonu in the next round. Edremit will play at home against Mersin Kurtulus to get more than just one victory in their record.
